H Φιλοζωική Δράση Καρπάθου ανακοινώνει επίσημα την συνεργασία της με το Greek Animal Welfare Fund (Animal Action- Δράση Για τα Ζώα στην Ελλάδα).
Το συγκεκριμένο ίδρυμα είναι ενεργό στην Ελλάδα από το 1959. Σκοπός του είναι βελτίωση των συνθηκών ζωής των ζώων σε όλη τη χώρα μέσω στοχευμένων συνεργασιών και προγραμμάτων. Με έδρα την Αγγλία, το ίδρυμα συνεργάζεται με οργανώσεις και φιλοζωικούς συλλόγους και σωματεία που πραγματοποιούν ανιδιοτελές έργο για τα αδέσποτα και δεσποζόμενα ζώα της χώρας. Μεταξύ άλλων, το GAWF πραγματοποιεί καμπάνιες στειρώσεων αδέσποτων σε όλη την Ελλάδα, ενώ ταυτόχρονα μεριμνά και για την ευζωία των ιπποειδών σε απομονωμένες περιοχές της χώρας.
Για την Φιλοζωική Δράση Καρπάθου, η επιλογή της οργάνωσης από το GAFW αποτελεί μεγάλη τιμή και αναγνώριση του έργου όλων των εθελοντών που την απαρτίζουν. Το ίδρυμα επέλεξε την Φιλοζωική Δράση Καρπάθου για την δωρεά 1000 ευρώ σε δύο δόσεις, επιπρόσθετα με την επίσημη συνεργασία που θα πραγματοποιηθεί. Η Φιλοζωική Δράση Καρπάθου- Animal Welfare Karpathos απαρτίζεται από εθελοντές που βοηθούν τα ζώα εθελοντικά στην Κάρπαθο τα για πάνω από 20 χρόνια. Η ιστορική αυτή ομάδα των εθελοντών νομιμοποίησε το Animal Welfare Karpathos σε μη κερδοσκοπική οργάνωση τον Αύγουστο 2020. Η οργάνωση λειτουργεί σε αυτό στάδιο μόνο με εθελοντές και βασίζεται στην συνεισφορά δωρεών για την πραγματοποίηση του έργου της. Λειτουργεί με υψηλά πρότυπα διακυβέρνησης και διαφάνειας και όλες οι πληροφορίες αναρτώνται στην επίσημη ιστοσελίδα εδώ. Οι δωρεές γίνονται δεκτές μόνο μέσω των επίσημων λογαριασμών της οργάνωσης, όπως περιγράφεται εδώ.

A new partnership: the Greek Animal Welfare Fund supports Animal Welfare Karpatho
It is with great excitement that Animal Welfare Karpathos- Φιλοζωική Δράση Καρπάθου is announcing the formal partnership with the Greek Animal Welfare Fund. Our organization was selected by the charity to be supported with a donation of 1000 euros (given in two installments). The Greek Animal Welfare Fund, which is based in the UK but operates in Greece, is one of the oldest animal welfare organizations which has supported stray and domestic animals throughout Greece.
Since 1959, GAWF has funded numerous spays/neuters, educational programs, and has improved the welfare of equidae (horses, donkeys and mules) throughout the country. A respected charity within the international animal welfare community, GAWF supports nonprofits and associations within Greece who have shown exemplary work for the benefit of strays.
Animal Welfare Karpathos is delighted for this new partnership and honored to have been selected for the grant. The donation will be used solely for the care of stray animals of Karpathos island.
Animal Welfare Karpathos- Φιλοζωική Δράση Καρπάθου, was established as a non profit organization in August 2020. However, the board of AWK is composed of the historic animal welfare volunteers on the island, who since 2002 have been helping strays throughout the island. We are thankful for everyone’s support throughout the years, and since the official funding of the organization. As a non-profit, AWK looks forward to expanding its partnerships with respectable NGO’s and foundations both within Greece and internationally.
